Founded in 1967, Sheridan has grown from a local college of 400 students to one of Ontario’s leading postsecondary institutions, educating approximately 17,670 full-time and 2,140 part-time studies students every year on three campuses in three Ontario cities — Oakville, Brampton and Mississauga.

Here’s how to apply to Sheridan in five easy steps.
Step 1: Find the right program for you.
Research, research, research! Talk to friends, guidance counsellors, family members, colleagues — they can all help you make the right choice.
Our website, sheridancollege.ca has a wealth of detailed information on all the programs we offer, the kinds of careers they lead to and how to apply.
If you need help deciding which program works best for you, we have several online tools.
Sheridan offers more than 140 programs across five faculties. Find the program that’s the best fit for you.
Step 2: Check the program availability and admission requirements.
Admission to Sheridan can be competitive and some programs can fill quickly. Be sure to check program availability before applying.
Admission requirements depend on your program of choice. Please check your program page to make sure you meet the specific requirements listed there. International applicants must meet the course equivalencies of the Canadian admission requirements.
Step 3: Apply online and pay the application fee.
International students apply directly to Sheridan.
You’ll need a computer with an internet connection and a credit card to pay the application fee.
The “equal consideration” date for programs starting in September is February 1. We encourage you to apply before then. We’ll accept your application after that date if the program is still open as indicated on our website.
Step 4: Track your application & submit your documents.
Once you’ve applied to Sheridan, you can track the status of your application and submit any academic or other required documents online.
Step 5: Accept your offer.
Once you receive your Sheridan offer letter, you simply need to log in to your account to confirm your acceptance.
Please be sure to meet all deadlines for accepting your offer, paying your fees and completing the outstanding admission requirements if your offer is conditional.
Information on study permits, including how to apply and processing times, is available through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada .

Scholarships and Bursaries
Each year, Sheridan issues millions of dollars to students through scholarships, awards and bursaries.
We encourage students to apply for funding opportunities through Sheridan’s online award system at the beginning of each semester.

Entrance Scholarships for New International Students, 2022/23
All new international students beginning their full-time postsecondary studies (ESL excluded) in Fall 2022 or Winter 2023 semesters in Year 1 (Term 1) will receive an entrance scholarship ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. Students will be notified of their exact scholarship amount with their offer of admission. These funds will be automatically added to students’ accounts in two equal instalments issued early in the first and second terms of study. Students must remain full-time in Term 2 for the second instalment to be issued.
Housing
Living On Campus
Residence at Sheridan combines affordable, modern accommodations with the convenience of on-campus living. Both the Davis Campus (Brampton) and the Trafalgar Road Campus (Oakville) have residence buildings, each offering living and study spaces for students.
Convenience and Community
Living in a Sheridan residence is perhaps the easiest way to begin your transition to Sheridan. It will provide you with the opportunity to quickly make lasting friendships, the comfort of living at a “home away from home,” and the convenience of everything you need to live and study happily.
Facilities
Sheridan’s residences feature modern, clean facilities, a safe, smoke-free environment, and fully furnished suites with kitchen and laundry facilities.
Our Residence team has introduced many safety and cleaning protocols to support our students’ well-being, and front-desk staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Welcome Package
When you arrive at Residence, a member of our team will be there to welcome you, provide you with a tour of your new home and introduce you to your roommate. We also offer a complimentary welcome package that includes all the items that you’ll need to make Residence your home away from home.
Off-Campus Living
There are several things to consider before deciding where to live , including location, cost, safety, maintenance and amenities. If it’s your first time renting, we’re here to help.
There are also many resources available to help you look for housing , including housing search websites, online classified ads and homestay options.
