Loyalist College empowers students, faculty, staff and partners through experiential, industry cluster-based education, training and applied research programs. As Ontario’s Destination College, the College provides job-ready graduates for, and knowledge transfer to, industry and the community.

Located on more than 200 acres in the beautiful Bay of Quinte region, the College is perfectly positioned between Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Belleville is an ideal location for international students new to Canada to have a truly Canadian experience. Students love living and learning in Belleville’s caring, close-knit community where they have plenty of access to green space and waterfront trails.

The College offers international students the ideal combination of academic excellence and curricular experiences. Students can choose from more than 65 full-time diploma and post-graduate certificate programs in biosciences, building sciences, business, community service, health and wellness, media studies, public safety and skilled trades.

Providing a caring, supportive learning environment is Loyalist College’s top priority. Students are guaranteed to achieve personal and professional success with small class sizes and individualized attention from instructors. Requirements and Admissions

All teaching at Loyalist is conducted in English. In order to be successful in a program, skills such as communication, listening comprehension, and reading and writing must be at a level sufficient to meet the demands of post-secondary studies. All Loyalist College applicants whose first language is not English, or whose previous education was in another language, will be expected to provide English proficiency assessment for admissions approval. Belleville (Opens In A New Tab) is a friendly, small community that is easy to navigate, either by car, bicycle or public transit. The cost of living is considerably less than that of a bigger city.

Housing

The College’s Residences are peacefully nestled in a wooded country setting on campus, close to many student life activities and the Residence Commons. With enough space for 476 students, Loyalist College has five suite-style Residence buildings. The College also has 104 spots in four fully furnished townhouse buildings.

With transit that stops right on campus, you’ll have easy access to all the perks of city living, with the convenience of waking up within walking distance of your classes. Apartment-style off-campus housing can range from $400-800 CAD per month, plus personal expenses. International Centre staff are happy to work with you to find suitable accommodations.
