Our 11 different faculties offer over 200 high-quality undergraduate, masters, and PhD programs that invite students to engage in new modes of learning and discovery. Many undergraduate programs at York allow students to combine two areas of interest and pursue a double major or major-minor. A Space for Everyone: Three Unique Campuses in the Greater Toronto Area

Our Keele Campus offers a vibrant and welcoming, large-scale campus experience for over 52,000 students, as well as faculty, staff, partners and the surrounding community. With ten different academic Faculties, a range of purposeful cutting-edge research and innovation opportunities and state-of-the-art academic, arts, technology, and athletic facilities, Keele Campus is a meeting place for a network of micro-communities. In addition to these requirements, your program of interest may require additional prerequisite courses, minimum grades and/or a supplementary application component like a video interview, audition or portfolio review. Recognizing Excellence and Supporting Your Goals

Scholarships for international students are awarded on the basis of an application and/or automatic consideration upon admission to the university. For awards requiring an application, students must complete and submit the International Student Scholarship & Award Application by February 3, 2022.

15 scholarships are awarded to international students each year
Value: up to $120, 000 CAD ($30,000 per year, renewable up to four years)

Capturing the enduring spirit of York’s motto, the Tentanda Via Award recognizes undergraduate students who have demonstrated resilience in overcoming significant personal barriers in the pursuit of a university education and changemakers who are committed to progressive and sustainable development issues. President’s International Scholarship of Excellence
20 scholarships are awarded to international students each year
Value: up to $180, 000 CAD ($45,000 per year, renewable up to four years)

The President’s International Scholarship of Excellence will be awarded to international high school applicants who demonstrate academic excellence, commitment to volunteer work and extracurricular activities, and leadership skills. Housing

Your Home Away From Home

York University has many different student residences in our contained campuses. Student residences provide welcoming and close-knit communities where students can live, study, socialize and create meaningful friendships. More than 4,000 students (1,600 of them in first year) live in our 10 undergraduate residences, eight of which are located at our Keele campus and two at our Glendon campus.

What does living in residence provide? 

  • Access: Live at the centre of everything campus has to offer, a walking distance from classes, the gym, libraries and public transit stations.
  • Meal Plans: Enjoy a variety of on-campus meal plans that accommodate various dietary needs, including halal, kosher and vegetarian options.
  • Community: York University’s caring on-site Residence Life Coordinators and a dedicated team of senior student mentors are available to support students in feeling right at home.
